Summary:
This position reports to the Clinical Coordinator and/or to the Director of the Service and the Medical DirectorProvides direct and indirect clinical services to adults or children/adolescents in need of mental health careResponsible for treatment of the client and provision of age-appropriate careCore skills include crisis assessment, intake assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, treatment planning, case management, team/community collaboration, patient/family education and triage/discharge planningAs skill sets permits, may provide flexible coverage to another service within Behavioral Health on a short-term basisCreates a caring and compassionate environment through ECHN#s Core Values of Teamwork, Communication, Respect and Caring# EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
This position requires an Associate#s or Bachelor#s Degree and certification in a Behavioral Health field as a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Licensed MSW (LMSW)Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is also highly desirable
Experience:
Prior experience working in the Behavioral Health field, preferably specific to the prospective service setting is desirableLevel of care age-specific competencies is requiredTraining and/or familiarity with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), familiarity with abuse and neglect reporting and duty-to-warn mandates, knowledge of community-based resources and experience with pre-authorization and billing processes is preferredCOMPETENCIES:
This position requires computer competency with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, strong clinical skills including a demonstrated team orientation, and strong written as well as verbal communication skills using the English languageMust be flexible in approach so that service-specific as well as overall system needs can be metMust be able to function effectively and, at times, independently in an environment where multi-tasking is necessaryESSENTIAL DUTIES and
