REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS The Service Assistant Manager assists and reports directly to the Assistant General Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in leading and coordinating the service department team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality customer service.
Support in managing customer service interactions, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
Help maintain and strengthen relationships with customers and third-party vendors to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
Assist with documentation, work order closure, and field resource management.
Support in handling parts ordering, inventory tracking, and customer invoicing with accuracy and efficiency.
Aid in asset tagging, tracking, and reporting for operational integrity.
Aid in answering service calls and backup dispatch as needed.
Undertake tasks to support departmental and organizational goals as directed by the General Manager.
Qualifications Education:
High School diploma or equivalent; further education in business administration or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Some experience in office or service management, particularly in a commercial appliance repair or similar technical service environment is beneficial.
Leadership experience is a plus.
Knowledge/Skills:
Solid understanding of business office management principles, with excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
Ability to coordinate and multitask within a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
Other:
Good computer skills are essential.
Familiarity with service management software and tools is advantageous.
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE Performance will be evaluated based on effective support in managing the service department, contributing to team performance, achieving high customer satisfaction levels, and support in achieving sales and service goals.
Efficiency in operational tasks such as work order management, parts inventory, and customer invoicing, as well as the development of customer and vendor relationships, will also be key metrics.
