Support Specialist / Software Quality Engineer

Tracking Code 2142-819Job Description We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with a small team of experienced engineers supporting a web-based solution that provides loan origination, and loan servicing. The development and testing is done in various platforms - Windows, and Linux - using a variety of commercial and Open Source tools. You will be involved in user stories development and working alongside Developers and Product Owners. You will be responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications for up to moderately complex projects.   Additionally, candidate will be responsible for level 2 customer support, and creating backlog items based on customer feedback, and bugs discovered during support. The candidate should be able and willing to work in a team environment and have a solid work ethic.   Primary Responsibilities oParticipating in system requirements and design meetings and review of requirements and design with the team oWorking with developers to write test plans for new features oRunning the test plans and working with the development resources to successfully complete software releases oParticipating in test planning, writing test cases/ test scripts, test execution and test automation. oAssisting internal and external customers with support issues and tracking those issues oTracking quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect counts, test status, test results) oDocumenting all issues and assisting in their resolution oParticipating in the internal quality consultation provided to business or technical partners oRecording and reporting on defects discovered during the QA and UAT testing phases oSuggesting and implementing process improvements for Quality Assurance and testing processes Required Skills oMust be capable of working well in groups and independently. oMust have demonstrably clear written and oral communication skills as well as analytical skills. oFamiliarity with issue tracking databases, such as Jira or Team Foundation Server oPhenomenal attention to detail oProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other software preferred. Required Experience oQuality Assurance and Testing experience (one or more years). oExperience working with Scrum methodologies. oExperience with SQL and databases. oExperience with some automated test tools. e.g. Selenium, preferred. oExperience working in a Linux environment preferred. oExperience with MySql preferred. oFamiliarity with writing test plans from predefined requirements and contributing to requirement definition to ensure testable requirements preferred. oKnowledge of automation is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
